Where in, A short poem

Where in
By: Charles Wood

Where in,
lie the hatred in man,
that billows brazen like sails in a storm.
Not in their head,
For the thought's repulsive branded scorned.
Consuming us all at one time or another,
filling the gullets through fiery breast.
Hate lies in the heart,
concealed like the snake,
Hidden but known as our greatest mistake.
Calling to action passionate crimes,
That ever forego all reason and rhyme.
Why not pluck out that which ails us all?
Knowing we where it lies,
Strike out my heart,
save me the time.
